An excellent tool for ensuring students maintain focus and direction in their practice routines.

After receiving a copy of Aniela Emma Chaudhuri’s ‘Music Lesson and Practice Logbook’, I give it my highest recommendation.

I feel that one of the biggest challenges when teaching young people is that the elements that are taught often get confused or muddled, simply due to the large amount of information which is shared.

The use of some kind of practice log or notebook is recommended and with Aniela's beautifully structured Logbook I am sure that students, teachers and parents alike will have an easier experience!

As a music educator of more than two decades experience, I have used many different formats of practice notebook over the years. However, I have never come across one that is so well thought out and designed.

By breaking down the different aspects of the learning process in such a user friendly way, both student and teacher are encouraged to develop focussed and productive learning habits - both in the music lesson itself and throughout the week in the students’ personal practice.

I particularly like the daily practice plan breakdown, enabling students to cover a variety of material over the course of a week, preventing a week of practice from feeling overwhelming - and instead breaking it down into a series of fun, achievable and progressive elements.

Thank you for creating this excellent resource. It is such a valuable and powerful tool, which I have no doubt will benefit so many students in the years to come!

As a musician and parent, I’ve observed firsthand how my daughter’s violin practice has been injected with purpose, structure and ownership by Aniela’s ‘Music Lesson and Practice Logbook’. It is an indispensable tool that makes sure both teachers and students are optimizing the learning outcome. As a longtime violin student, I have consistently found that the Six Cat Studios Practice Logbooks are incredibly useful for managing my practices throughout the week, especially managing my practice time and what I’m doing within each practice session.

It’s very systematic, and allows me to micromanage my practice content and duration down to the minute, which is especially useful as a senior secondary student with an ever increasing workload.

It’s also a great tool for students to use to transition from guided practice to independent practice, as it has all the tools within it necessary for both instructors and students to use and understand.
